Level I Certified Infrared Thermographer® is a four-day course for the application of qualitative thermal imaging for P/PM, Condition Assessment, Condition Monitoring, Quality Assurance, Forensic Investigations, and Building Sciences.
This course covers infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, equipment operation and selection, standards compliance, image analysis, and report generation.

Infraspection Institute is an SMRP-approved provider of continuing education in reliability and physical asset management. This course is also approved for NETA CTDs, InterNACHI CE hours, and IIBEC CEHs—helping you meet certification and renewal requirements across multiple organizations.

Learn to identify and document thermal patterns caused by improper design, workmanship, and material failure. Training covers real-world applications including electrical and mechanical systems, steam and refractory systems, underground piping, building envelopes, flat roofs, and active thermography. Students are encouraged to bring their own imager for personalized instruction.

Tuition includes all course presentations, a comprehensive Student Reference Manual, and the Certified Infrared Thermographer® exam. Earn your certification with a passing grade of 80%, plus eligibility for Master Thermographer® program points. Classes run Monday–Thursday (8am start) and include daily breakfast, refreshments, and lunch. Veterans may qualify for a partial tuition scholarship.
